The ideal candidate for one of my retiring girls is an active retired person, as I like the idea of my girls going to a home where they live indoors as a companion, and go for lots of walks and stimulation.
As my dogs are not locked up for long periods of time, I will not let them go to a full time worker and I may have to home visit prospective owners. In addition, although all my dogs live well together, I have found they work better as a solo dog when they first live in a true home environment, however I am open to my girls living with another dog but I would need temperament assurances for the home owners dog as the last thing I want to do is send my girl to her next phase only to be returned as the dogs were not compatible.
Also I wont let them be homed with children. This is because I do not have young children, and of course they are retiring. I want peace love and fun for them.
They do not leave with their KC paperwork.
If you feel you can offer a super retirement home for one of my girls then please text or email me. If you have already applied last year, as my last girls went really quick it would be best to text me for a prompt reply.
UPDATED 20 July 2019
We have a beautiful golden show cocker bitch called Zeena available, aged 4, health tested pra fn and bva eye cert clear.
Zeena is a stunning example of the breed, she is good with other dogs, lead trained, house trained.
Zeena will suit an experienced dog handler with knowledge of cockers, she responds well to commands, she loves human company and likes to be fussed, she likes walking but I would describe her as not the active type, she would rather sit on the couch watching TV or sit in the garden next to the humans.
She is very loyal once she bonds with you and had time to adjust to new experiences, initially she is a bit timid, and you need to let her come to you .
Ideal candidate retired active single
Definitely no children, they irritate her.
please text me in first instance and will arrange a chat
A note on taking older dogs, you as the new owner must understand it can be a stressful time for a dog in a new environment and some adjust quickly, others take time. They are not robots and be programmed to fit into your lifestyle within the day. I believe any dog can adjust to a new environment, sadly most humans don't have the patience to work at a dogs fears.
As I am scaling down my breeding activities there will be a number of bitches available over the next few months to be re-homed.
The ages vary from 4 years old to 6 years old., All are pra fn tested, eye tested, vaccinated, microchiped. all are house trained, lead trained and well socialised.
If you would like to discuss giving a retired girl or boy a new home please send me an email in 1st instance, outlining current work life balance, location and experience with dogs in particular cockers
